This is probably one of the cleanest eg civic hatches you'll ever find for sale. The car is miles away from the trashed out, falling apart civics typical of today. This is one of the most desirable cars to build and this is probably the most desirable model, the CX; it's the lightest chassis, and there's no frills - no AC, no sunroof, no power windows or locks, no side molding. Being the base model, these cars are hard to come by in this condition.
I'm the second owner. I purchased the car completely stock from the original owner about 5 years ago. From day one, it's been garaged. The motor was swapped about 3 years ago, and I've always used genuine Honda oil and oil filters. The turbo kit was completed in late 2007. The motor has never been overboosted; the car has been driven pretty conservatively. The motor was tuned and is driven on pump gas (91 octane). It's a daily driver and serves its purpose well. I built this car to be a clean "sleeper" with a little JDM flavor; I think it could continue being the perfect daily driver, or serve as an incredible start to a show car or race car.

the good stuff
Here are some notable details that you'd normally have to find for yourself (and probably be disappointed when looking at other civics). First off, this will blow your mind... the paint is OEM! That's right! This car has never been wrecked, or repainted! It has a clean title and CARFAX report. The paint does not look pink, which is typical of Honda milano red on older cars. Again, the car has never been wrecked; as some proof, there's a picture in the gallery below showing the OEM glue on the fender bolts (this means the fenders have never been off). All body lines are straight, this includes the OEM side skirts. There are no major dents or waves in the body panels or doors. The doors do not "sag", they feel very solid. The rubber lining on the top of the doors is NOT cracking or peeling! The rear fenders, or anywhere on the body for that matter, show no signs of rust! The body, engine bay, and chassis have not been cut, welded or modified in anyway, it's all OEM! The motor mounts are in good shape.
If this next detail doesn't prove that this car is different from most civics then I don't know what will... the glovebox is not broken! I know crazy?! Right?! The interior is all original and matching (black). The carpet is original as well. There is no cracking or peeling on the dash. All wiring, like the autometer gauges for example, has been done very clean and reversible; No surprises here.
The rear hatch area is still intact and in good shape. The gas shocks on the rear window are not broken and function properly! On the outside of the rear window the little finger grip is in good shape.
it's not perfect(but it's close)
With all of it's great qualities this car is not without some small imperfections. The front bumper has some small cracks and an indention by the license plate holes, this is due to the original owner bumping into a small parking lot poll. No structural damage was done in anyway. You can see from the engine bay shots that the radiator support is straight! The bumper is the only thing that was affected. In addition to this, there are small chips in the paint of the bumper (but I think you'll still be surprised at how little there are for a car that's 14 years old!)
The gaps between the front bumper and fenders are not perfect. This is because the intercooler and intercooler piping barely fit under there; this shouldn't be too hard to fix if you're willing to cut / modify the bumper. There are some scratches in the paint on the body. Nothing is really big and I've provided photos below to help convey the size and amount.
The right bulb inside the climate control is burnt out. The left blinker will work and then randomly cut-out when it's cold outside, this is due to some kind of short in the blinker switch. The left blinker works fine in warm weather. The driver's side seat has some tears in the fabric on the bolster (typical for an older car). There is a small chip in the windshield on the passengers side, just above the airbag tray; this has been there since I bought the car.
get it!
Please don't waste my time and yours by low balling me on the price. The price is more than fair; If you think otherwise then this is probably not the car for you. Do not contact me about parting out the car, I will not part it out! I am also not interested in any trades. I think that about covers the basics, I'll let the mods list and gallery do the rest of the talking. Contact Me.
